|Our doctors believe that an examination should be both thorough and unhurried. We allow adequate time to accomplish both of these objectives. |
The medical part of the examination includes, when indicated, glaucoma (pressure) testing, examination of the back of the eye (retina) through dilated pupils, cataract evaluation, and visual field (peripheral vision) testing.
The vision part of the examination assesses refractive error (lens strength), muscle imbalances, color and stereo vision, and reading (close work) needs. Occupational requirements are discussed and may be given special attention.
